24 sep 2018

The regional SRHR team at the Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka together with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is hosting a one-day satellite session on ‘Health financing towards Universal Health Coverage’ at the Health Systems Research (HSR) Symposium 2018, in Liverpool, UK, October 8th.

The satellite session will bring together government officials and policy representatives from Sub Saharan Africa and Asia, as well as representatives from academic institutes and global development organisations, to share practical experiences from priority setting, defining basic health care packages and strategic purchasing in low and middle income countries and to promote knowledge exchange in these areas. Panelists will include a group of countries from Sub-Saharan Africa participating in Sida’s regional health financing program, supported by CHAI, as well as governments who have worked closely with IDSI from other regions.
