The Embassy welcomes H.E. Ms Mikaela Kumlin Granit as Ambassador of Sweden to the Court of St James’.
Ms Mikaela Kumlin Granit has previously served in Vienna as Sweden’s Ambassador to Austria and Slovakia as well as Permanent Representative of Sweden to the UN, where she was the Chair of the IAEA Board of Governors 2019-2020.
Formerly, Ms Kumlin Granit has served as Deputy-Director General for European Affairs and Head of the EU department at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She has also served in the Office of the Prime Minister of Sweden and has been posted overseas in Washington DC, Harare as well as in Brussels as Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the European Council.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
