Life Certificate

Information to you who needs a signature and stamp on your Life Certificate from the Swedish Pension agency.

Option 1, visit the embassy

You visit the embassy and submit your certificate. You will not receive the certificate the same day, the embassy will post the certificate after we have put a stamp on the certificate. You have the certificate back in about 2-3 working days.

An envelope self-addressed with a stamp

You call on the intercom outside the embassy gate or stand in the line for a life certificate (there will be a sign outside the gate).
When it's your turn, sign the life certificate and submit the above to the receptionist. We will take a copy of your passport before returning it to you. We stamp your certificate and send it to the address you have written on the envelope. You have the certificate back in about 2-3 working days.
The embassy are not responsible for the handling of the mail by the postoffice.

 

Option 2, facetime meeting

The embassy offers a meeting by facetime for signing the life certificate. You do not need to come to the embassy to have your certificate stamped.

If you can’t use facetime, you can get help from neighbors, relatives, friends or acquaintances who can handle facetime for you.

You email the embassy to book a facetime appointment, ambassaden.tokyo@gov.se . We book an appointment with you and ask you to email us a picture of your passport.

The embassy call you by facetime to the mobile number you have given us. You show your passport and you can then sign the life certificate.

You send the certificate to the embassy by post, together with this you send an envelope self-addressed with a stamp . The embassy receives the certificate, stamps it and sends it back to you. It takes about 2-3 working days before you get it back.
The embassy are not responsible for the handling of the mail by the postoffice.
