Innovation and cooperation are shaping the next chapter for the Nordics and Kansai.

The reception marked an important opportunity to reaffirm the significance of the Nordic Kansai Business Alliance, established as a legacy of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai. It also provided a platform to further strengthen cooperation between the Kansai region and the five Nordic countries—Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway.

The reception opened with remarks by H.E. Viktoria Li, Ambassador of Sweden to Japan, together with fellow Nordic Ambassadors, highlighting strong expectations for enhanced cooperation between the Nordics and Kansai.

The Alliance aims to foster new value creation through collaboration among industry, academia and government. Opportunities for cooperation span a wide range of areas, including climate, health, connectivity and economic security.
