Moving to Sweden changed for UK nationals from 1 January 2021. If you were a resident in Sweden on 31 December 2020, your right to study in Sweden will stay the same, as long as you remain resident. The registration closed 30 September 2021.

From 1 November 2022 applicants who submit, or who already have an open application for a residence permit (including work, study or close family ties), must visit the Embassy to show their valid passport in the original.
This can be done during the Migration Section’s opening hours without prior appointment. Biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) may be taken at the same time.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
