Applicants residing in Jerusalem

If you reside in Jerusalem and wish to apply for a Schengen visa to travel to Sweden, you should contact the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem to make an appointment. At the time of your appointment you have to hand in your application in person at the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem.

The Consulate’s opening hours weekdays, excluding Wednesdays, 10.00-12.00. You are able to contact the Consulate through booking.jerusalem@gov.se.

How to submit your application at the Consulate General

1. Prepare the documentation
Check which documents and personal information you need. You must for instance have arranged for a passport and medical travel insurance and have booked an air ticket (although we advise you to delay payment until your visa has been granted), and you must also have an invitation from the person you will be visiting in Sweden.

2. Make an appointment
To make an appointment at the Consulate General in Jerusalem, you contact the Visa Section through e-mail booking.jerusalem@gov.se, or by phone. Tel: + 972 (0)2-646 58 82, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 13:30- 14:30.

The following information should be provided when booking an appointment:
- Full name,
- Date of birth, 
- ID-number,
- Purpose of the visit,
- Phone number where we can reach you,
- The traveling date.

3. Pay the application fee

4. Visit the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem
From 14 November 2013, all applicants (from 12 years of age) must have his or her biometric information taken (ten fingerprints and a photograph).

If you reside in Jerusalem, the West Bank or Gaza, bring the completed application form, all the required documents and the application fee in cash to the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem at the appointed time. Please note that if you do not have all the documents with you, there is a risk that your application will be rejected. During the visit, you may be required to answer some additional questions.

All family members who apply at the same time – including children – must visit the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem.

5. The decision
When the decision is made, you will be notified by the Consulate General and informed of how to get your passport and decision.
