Vacancy: Temporary Promotion Officer (until 31 December 2026)

The successful candidate will be a key member of the local Team Sweden and will work closely with the Trade Commissioner in day-to-day promotion activities, as well as in designing, planning and delivering larger events. Strategic communication will also be an important element in supporting the delivery of results.

 Responsibilities

As a Promotion Officer, you will be part of the Embassy's promotion team and contribute to implementing our strategic initiatives. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing, planning and executing Swedish promotional activities within export and investment promotion and Sweden branding, including follow-up, reporting and budgeting.
• Developing and maintaining contacts and managing day-to-day inquiries from Swedish companies as well as local public and private entities.
• Monitoring developments and contributing to the Embassy's reporting within areas prioritized for Swedish export and investment promotion.
• Contributing to activities related to public diplomacy and cultural promotion, including providing content for the Embassy's social media channels.
• Assisting in the organization of outgoing and incoming visits.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• A demonstrated understanding of trade, export and investment promotion in the local context.
• The ability to understand the Swedish value proposition and match it with local opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A documented ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while delivering concrete results.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable. Knowledge of Swedish would be considered an advantage.

Employment Conditions

This is a full-time temporary position intended as a replacement during a staff absence. The position is expected to start as soon as possible and will run until 31 December 2026.

A prerequisite for employment at the Embassy is successful completion of a security clearance procedure.
