Today, 20 March, Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström presented the Government’s Statement of Foreign Policy following Sweden’s accession to NATO.
NEWSThe Stockholm-based ambassadors are Sweden's representatives in some 30 countries where Sweden has no permanent diplomatic representation. The ambassadors are based in Stockholm but make regular trips to the countries in which they are accredited.
The Office to Support Small Missions Abroad (UD KSU) at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm helps in preparing matters and processing specific issues. There are honorary consulates in relevant countries. The honorary consulate can assist Swedish citizen in consular cases etc, but does not have the same capacity as an embassy.
Passport applicants are advised to renew their passport on their next visit to Sweden, or to contact the closest Swedish embassy in Moscow.
Residence permit applications are handled by the Swedish Embassy in Moscow.
