We are recruiting a PROGRAM OFFICER with a focus on health 

Main tasks

Your main tasks will be to independently manage contributions (prepare, follow up and complete), hold dialogue with partners and other stakeholders, engage in donor coordination as required, and assist in other tasks such as reporting, delegation visits etc. You will have secondary responsibilities for tasks of one or more of your colleagues, and there will be one or more colleagues having secondary responsibilities for your tasks.

You will be working at the Department for development and reform cooperation in a team of program officers, controllers and program administrators, under the supervision of a Head of Department.

Qualifications

  • University degree within relevant field  
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience from development cooperation with a focus on health
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian (spoken and read)

Additional merits

  • Experience of working with sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR)
  • Experience of working with social protection issues
  • Knowledge of reform requirements within the area of health and social security relating to EU accession

Terms of employment

We offer an interesting work atmosphere at a foreign diplomatic mission. The employment is a full-time position with 40 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check and satisfactory security clearance, with a probation period of three (3) calendar months. Staff recruited locally are subject to terms and conditions according to Ukrainian employment law and Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) guidance for local staff.

 
Benefits of the job include 28 vacation days (counted as working days), wellness grant, one wellness hour per week, health insurance and the possibility to be eligible for Swedish pension after 5 years of working for the embassy.

Start date is as soon as possible (according to agreement).
