Welcome to the Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE.

The Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE is the main link between Swedish authorities and the OSCE secretariat, institutions and delegations.
Mr Martin Hagström is Ambassador and Head of Delegation. The other staff represent Sweden in different areas of work.
Ambassador Hagström took up his position at the Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE in August 2026.
Most recently, he served as Ambassador of Sweden in Nicosia, Cyprus (2022–2026). Before that, he was Inspector General at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (2019–2022). For the duration of 2021 he joined the Task Force of
the Swedish OSCE Chairpersonship.
Previously Mr. Hagström has served as Ambassador of Sweden in Kyiv, Ukraine (2016–2019) and Ambassador-atlarge for the EU Eastern Partnership (2013–2016).
Earlier positions at the Ministry and abroad include Head of Division for Eastern Europe (2010–2013), Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the European Union in Brussels (2007–2010) and Consul at the Consulate General of Sweden in Saint Petersburg, Russia (2004–2007).
Mr. Hagström started his career at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 2002. Before joining the diplomatic service, Mr. Hagström worked as a journalist.
