Then this is the perfect vacancy for you. The Embassy of Sweden in Skopje is opening a vacancy for the position of “Ambassador for a Day”. You will be expected to shadow the Ambassador throughout one day, attend meetings, collaborate with the Embassy staff, and take part in the overall daily activities of the Embassy. At the end of the working day, you will be expected to give a short report on the work you have done.
Your work will start at 08:30 and finish at 16:00h for one agreed date.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their application for this vacancy no later than November 10th 23:59h via e-mail at: ambassaden.skopje@gov.se with a subject line: Application for the #GirlsTakeOver 2026/27 vacancy for “Ambassador for a Day”. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to an (online) interview. Final information about the selection will be issued to all applicants by 15 December 2026, on the email provided in the application. The successful candidate will be performing her duties as “Ambassador for a Day” in the first trimester of 2027 at a date which will be mutually agreed.
#GirlsTakeOver is a global initiative from Plan International whereby girls throughout the world occupy positions of power in connection with International Day of the Girl Child on 11 October. In a world where the girls and young women are discriminated against because of their gender and age, and are often prevented from getting to important societal positions, the global #GirlsTakeover is a call to action for radical social and political change to tear down barriers of discrimination and prejudice that continue to hold girls back.
