The Embassy has recently seen an increase in fraudulent job offers. We therefore urge all applicants and recipients to exercise caution.
Sometimes people who want to work in Sweden receive offers for jobs that do not actually exist. In other cases, employers offering real jobs do not follow Swedish rules or fulfil the conditions they have promised – for example regarding salary, benefits or working conditions. A company or agent cannot guarantee that you will be allowed to work in Sweden. The Swedish Migration Agency is the only authority that decides whether you will be granted a residence permit and work permit.
