Please note that an appointment is required for all consular visits, even for handing out a new passport. Please call the Embassy during telephone hours to make an appointment.

Due to the rapid spread of Covid-19, no applications for Schengen visas from Iran will be processed at the moment. All scheduled appointments in 2020 for interviews in residence permit cases have also been postponed until 2021.
The Embassy will contact all applicants concerned with information about a new preliminary appointment, starting in January 2021. For more information, please click here.
The Embassy will continue to receive applicants who wish to pick up their passports and already concluded visa/residence permit decisions. Residence permit cards (UT-cards) will also be handed out, and it is possible to book appointments to order a UT-card.
Iranian, Iraqi and Afghan citizens with concluded residence permit cases can request appointments for biometrics through our webpage. Available timeslots are currently distributed in the following order of priority:
1. Applicants granted a permit due to study/work, whose permits are at risk of being revoked.
2. Applicants granted a permit due to study/work.
3. Applicants granted a permit as a family member of someone residing in Sweden.
