The Consulate has received several reports regarding suspicious job offers in Sweden. We urge all individuals to exercise caution when evaluating employment opportunities, especially those received via unsolicited emails or social media.
Please note that the Consulate is unable to verify the legitimacy of individual job offers. However, we encourage you to keep the following points in mind:
Registered Swedish companies have an official organization number. You can verify this via Bolagsverket’s website.
Work and residence permits are handled exclusively by the Swedish Migration Agency. The Consulate does not process or expedite applications.
All official communication will come from email addresses ending in @migrationsverket.se or @gov.se. The Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi’s official migration inbox is migration.new-delhi@gov.se.
There are no special arrangements between companies and the Consulate to fast-track applications. All applications must follow the process outlined by the Migration Agency, either online or in person at an Embassy.
Be skeptical of agents or consultants who claim they can guarantee visa approvals or job placements.
No consultant or lawyer can promise specific outcomes for immigration applications.
Payments should only be made through the Embassy or via the Migration Agency’s official website.
