Super Typhoon Ragasa is approaching Hong Kong and Macao and is expected to come closest on the morning of Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The typhoon will bring strong winds, thunderstorms, heavy rain, and a risk of flooding.
The local authorities announced on Monday, September 22, that a Typhoon Signal No. 8 (T8) will be issued on Tuesday afternoon, and higher warnings cannot be ruled out.
The Consulate General in Hong Kong will be closed during T8 or higher warning and will reopen as usual approximately 2 hours after the T8 warning has been lowered or removed.
