On 1 December, Minister for Environment and Climate Isabella Lövin hosted the second high-level meeting of the global Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT). LeadIT members agreed on a range of ambitious commitments to contribute to freedom from fossil fuels and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. At the Summit, Ms Lövin announced that Sweden intends contribute a total of SEK 300 million to a new industry transition programme within the World Bank’s Climate Investment Funds (CIF).
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all states in the world, with embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
