On April 14, the Consulate General, with support from the Swedish Institute, hosted a Pre-departure Event at Fotografiska Shanghai for Chinese students admitted to Swedish universities in 2024.
Representatives from both the Consulate and Swedish Institute delivered presentations, offering a glimpse into Swedish culture, campus life, life after studying in Sweden, and essential details about residence permit applications. The event also featured an engaging alumni panel where three former students shared their experiences of studying in Sweden.
In addition, representatives from Uppsala University, Linköping University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology joined the event and provided invaluable insights for the students.
250 students participated and had a meaningful exchange of experiences over mingle and fika as the last part of the event.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all states in the world, with embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
