Swedish Ambassador to China Anna Lindstedt and Swedish Consul General in Shanghai Lisette Lindahl visited Nanjing and met with Party Secretary of Nanjing Zhang Jinghua on January 14. It was the first time that Ms Lindstedt visited the capital of Jiangsu Province.
The representatives from Sweden's foreign missions in China visited a couple of Sino-Swedish cooperative projects in Nanjing. At the meeting with Mr Zhang, Ms Lindstedt expressed her wish that the Swedish academia and business world could strengthen their communication and exchange with their counterparts in Nanjing and fulfill more cooperation. Considering that Nanjing is building itself into an innovative city with global impact, Mr Zhang welcomed more Swedish universities, technology businesses and researchers on behalf of the Nanjing government.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all states in the world, with embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
