On 9 September 2025, the Consul General, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Ma Yinghui, Director-General of the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office.
The Director-General presented Shanghai’s development plans and priorities. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including economic cooperation, trade and investment, innovation, culture and education. The Consul General highlighted the strong Swedish business presence in eastern China, with a view to a busy autumn ahead with a number of significant Swedish activities, including participation in trade fairs, corporate milestones and launch events.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review ongoing cooperation and discuss potential future areas of engagement.
