The Embassy currently has five diplomats from Sweden, including a Defence Attaché, and six locally employed staff, working on a wide range of responsibilities, including political and commercial issues, consular and migration affairs and administration.
About the job
As driver and administrative assistant your tasks will cover a range of issues and responsibilities, which include:
Please note that this position is not limited to the tasks described above and that responsibilities can change with time according to the needs of the organization. As the Embassy Driver, work is expected outside of normal office hours on a regular basis.
About you
At least two years of relevant work experience. Driver’s license with a proven track record of safe, accurate and smooth driving. Professional demeanor, service orientation, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Availability to work outside of regular office hours as needed.
Skills: Demonstrated driving skills. Excellent time management, organizational and orientation skills with ability to stay calm under pressure. You need to be hands-on, cooperative, detail orientated, flexible and generally tech-savvy. You have a good command of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Language: Excellent command of English. Knowledge of Swedish and/or French is considered an asset.
Status: You must hold the right to live and work in Canada.
Terms
The position is full-time and permanent. The first six months are considered probationary employment. Start date as soon as possible but will be agreed upon with the selected candidate.Practical details
