Amendment of temporary entry ban to the EU via Sweden due to COVID-19
On 25 June the Government decided to extend the temporary entry ban to the EU via Sweden until 7 July 2020. On June 4 the Government adopted certain amendments clarifying the ban. The aim of the entry ban is, as previously, to mitigate the effects of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and reduce the outbreak of COVID-19.
Due to the coronavirus and the temporary entry ban to Sweden, the Swedish Migration Agency has decided that the majority of visa applications will be rejected. This applies if you wish to visit Sweden and are a citizen of a country outside the EU.

Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
