If you are going to study at a university or university college in Sweden for longer than three months, you must have a residence permit. The permit must be issued before you travel to Sweden.
You can apply for a residence permit online. An online application goes directly to the Swedish Migration Agency.
If you are unable to apply online or prefer not to, you can submit an application at the Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka, please note that all questions regarding applications and bookings goes through the Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi, so kindly make an appointment by sending an email to ambassaden.nairobi-visum@gov.se.
