The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok is handling Schengen visa applications from applicants legally residing in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea. Applications for Schengen visas from citizens of Fiji, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tonga, and Vanuatu, as well as third-country nationals residing in these countries, are also processed by the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.
Submission of Schengen visa applications and collection of passports is through VFS Global
VFS Global receives the applications and the passports and the Embassy decides in the Schengen visa applications. A decision will normally be made within 15 days.
Applications for Schengen visas can be lodged as early as six months prior to the start of the intended visit. For Seafarers in the performance of their duties, applications can be lodges no more than nine months before the intended date of entry to the Schengen area.

Schengen visas are valid for visits under 90 days. If you intend to visit Sweden for more than 90 days, you should apply for a Visitor’s Permit

Laos
France is representing Sweden in Laos. Applicants in Laos submit their visa applications at the French Embassy in Laos
Fiji, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Tonga, and Vanuatu
Applicants can submit their Schengen visa applications at the Swedish Embassy in Canberra. The embassy will register the applications and forward them to the embassy in Bangkok for further processing and decision-making. Applications are received and registered at the embassy in Canberra by appointment.
