Visa fees

The Visa fee, payable to the Embassy of Sweden, can be paid in cash at the BRAC Bank booth in the Sweden Visa Application Centre, Dhaka with nominal fee of 230 BDT incl. VAT as payment processing fee. The visa fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.

Adults: EUR 80

Children (age 6-11): EUR 40

Children under 6: No visa fee

Some categories of applicants may be exempted from paying the visa fee. Exemptions are given to the following categories:

• EU/EEA family members
• Diplomatic passport holder (irrespective of purpose)
• Official passport holder travelling for official reasons with NV issued from MOFA
• UN passport holders with NV issued from UN
• School pupils, students, research students and accompanying teachers on study or training trips
• Researchers travelling for the purpose of pursuing scientific research
• Representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 or less, participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organisations
• Receivers of Erasmus Mundus scholarships
• Visitors to The World Maritime University
• Visitors to the Swedish Institute (SI)
• Visitors to SIDA

List of fees 

A service fee of 18.40 Euro (1725 BDT) will be charged by VFS Global. Please note that the exemptions mentioned above are in regards to the visa fee alone, applicants will none the less be required to pay the Service Fee charged by the VFS.
