To legalize documents from Sweden for use in Thailand, follow these steps:

(1) Check with the receiving authority in Thailand: Confirm which documents that must be legalized.

Make sure that the documents have stamp and signature: Make sure that the document issued by the Swedish government agency has a stamp and signature.

If the documents are issued by a private person, company or is a copy without the original signature it must first be certified by Notary Public, you can find these online.

Translation: If the document is in Swedish, it must be translated into English. You can use certified translation agencies listed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sweden Kammarkollegiet

(2) Legalization by Swedish Authorities: The original document and its English translation must be legalized by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs legalizations in Sweden.

If the document is issued by individuals, private companies, or is a copy without an original signature, it must first be certified by a Notary Public, you can find these by using a search function online.

(3) Legalization at the Royal Thai Embassy: After legalization by Swedish authorities, bring the documents to the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm for further legalization

(5) Submission to Thai Authorities: Confirm with the local Thai authorities where you will submit the documents to determine specific requirements. For example, registering a marriage may require a marriage license, marital status certificate, passport copy, etc.
