The Swedish Embassy in London's task is to represent Sweden and the Swedish government in the UK and to promote Swedish interests.

The Swedish Embassy has a continuous dialogue with British representatives, such as regarding cooperation within the EU and now in particular concerning Brexit. In addition, the task of the Embassy includes working through information and collaboration with the cultural and the defense sectors, as well as with industry, public authorities and other organizations.
The Embassy’s Consular section handles a large amount of applications for Swedish passports, registrations of children and newborns, visas, and other consular and official matters.
We are approximately 30 people working at the Swedish Embassy in London compound by both diplomatic and locally employed staff. Ambassador Mikaela Kumlin Granit is the Head of Mission. Further, we have a Cultural Counsellor and a Defense Attaché. Currently, three posts are funded by other Swedish Ministries or Public Authorities.
The Swedish Embassy in London is supported by a great number of Swedish Consulates throughout the UK acting on behalf of the Embassy.
The Embassy has close contact with other Swedish organisations in the UK such as Business Sweden, Visit Sweden, the Swedish church the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and the Anglo-Swedish Literary Foundation.
