To limit the spread of the ongoing Coronavirus, the Swedish Embassy in Bern is only open to visitors after booking an appointment.
Telephone contact with the embassy
The embassy receives many calls due to the Corona virus and it may take a moment for the call to be answered. We regret this and do everything to answer all incoming calls quickly. Here you find information regarding traveling to Sweden.
Visits to the embassy
A total of three visitors can be in the embassy waiting room at the same time. This can mean that visitors have to wait in front of the embassy.

An appointment is required for application of passport and ID-card.

The Embassy of Sweden in Bern does not handle any migration or visa matters. We are not able to accept applications, provide any type of stamps/certificates for those applying for visa or take biometrics for residence- and work permits. Normally applications are made on-line.
