The Consulate General offers a combined internship in communications, cultural and commercial affairs during the spring and fall respectively.
We now accept applications for the spring 2019 internship. The deadline to apply is October 14.
The internship is unpaid and the Consulate cannot offer any reimbursement for housing expenses. However, the Consulate can refer to available grants and other resources as well as provide housing tips. Swedish citizenship is a requirement and you must be completely fluent in Swedish and English. You must be enrolled at a college or university, as well as be insured through your school or on your own. Swedish students enrolled at universities/colleges abroad are also welcome to apply. If the internship does not earn you credit, you must provide a note from the university stating that the internship would be relevant for your coursework. A background check, which includes checking criminal history records, will be conducted.
