The Swedish Club of Houston is a meeting place for anyone interested in Swedish culture and traditions. Throughout the year, the club organizes a variety of social and cultural activities, including traditional celebrations such as Walpurgis Night (Valborg), Crayfish Parties (Kräftskiva), Smörgåsbord, and Lucia, as well as newer activities such as Semla Fika and Rhubarb Fika, Eurovision Song Contest watch parties, and watch parties for major sporting events such as the World Cup. The club also offers Swedish language classes at different levels and a traditional Swedish drinking-song choir, helping to keep the Swedish language, culture, and traditions alive.
