About the Consulate General

Welcome to the Consulate General of Sweden in Houston, Texas.

The consular district of the Consulate General covers Texas. 

The Consulate General has a subordinate Honorary Consulate in Dallas.

The Consulate General opened in September 2025 and its mission is promoting Sweden; including trade, investment and innovation promotion, cultural promotion and consular activities. The head of the agency is Consul General Anna Hammarlund Blixt.

Texas is one of the world's most dynamic economies, and Houston stands out as a global center for space, emerging technologies, energy, and life sciences. The Consulate General supports Swedish entities and companies in the state, where around 90 Swedish companies are active.
