The exhibition is dedicated to August Strindberg’s time in Gersau and tries to show Strindberg's relationship to Switzerland and the literary and artistic work he has done during his stay there.

In addition, recent works by the Swiss photographer Peter Strebel, who are inspired by the photographs of Strindberg, can be seen.
