The year 2018 marks 100 years since the birth of Ingmar Bergman: world-famous filmmaker, legendary theatre director and exceptional writer. The Jubilee is taking place over the entire world, with theatrical performances, exhibitions, documentaries, film retrospectives, book releases and festivals.
In Switzerland several comprehensive retrospectives are scheduled in Bern, Zürich, Lausanne and Geneva. In “Bergman Revisited” a series of new short films by Swedish directors, inspired by Bergman’s spirit and universe will be seen. The premiere is scheduled at Internationale Kurzfilmtage in Winterthur this autumn. The “Stadttheater St. Gallen” will be showing “Scenes from a marriage”.
