Stricter rules for e-cigarettes (vaping) in Singapore – from September 1, 2025
The Embassy wishes to inform travellers that, starting 1 September 2025, Singapore will enforce stricter regulations regarding the possession and use of e-cigarettes (vapes).
Foreign nationals found in possession of e-cigarettes may have them confiscated and face fines of up to SGD 700. In cases of repeated violations, authorities may revoke work or residence permits and, in more serious instances, impose deportation and a ban on re-entry into Singapore.
Authorities will also step up border controls and encourage travellers to dispose of e-cigarettes in designated disposal bins at the airport.
For further information, travellers may consult the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA) or the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
