Residence Manager

Would you like to work with service and representation at the Embassy of Sweden in Oslo?

The Embassy of Sweden in Oslo, Norway, is seeking a part-time Residence Manager responsible for the Embassy’s official residence. In addition to the day-to-day operation and facilitation of the residence, the position entails a key role in coordinating and delivering events and representational activities in the residence’s official reception areas.

We are now looking for a structured and solution-oriented individual for the role of Residence Manager at the Embassy. In this position, you will be involved in the Embassy’s daily operations, maintain both internal and external contacts, and have overall responsibility for the representational facilities of the official residence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent responsibility for the operation and management of the Embassy’s official residence
  • Coordination and organization of internal and external events held at the residence
  • Administrative tasks related to representation and the operation of the residence
  • Close cooperation with the Embassy’s facility team (chef, caretaker and cleaning staff)

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics

We are looking for a candidate with relevant education and/or substantial professional experience within the service or hospitality sector. Experience in administrative work is considered an asset. You are proactive, responsible, structured and detail-oriented.

Strong communication skills, an improvement-oriented mindset, social competence, a problem-solving approach and sound judgment are essential. You should have a good command of both written and spoken communication skills.

Terms of Employment

The position is part-time. Salary will be determined individually. Security clearance, including a background check, will be required prior to a final employment decision. The position is to commence in February 2026 or by agreement.
