Sweden’s new Ambassador to Lithuania, Urban Andersson, today, 19 August 2026, presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
Ambassador Urban Andersson previously served as Head of the Intelligence Office at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He has been Ambassador to Kampala and held the position of Ambassador and Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Urban Andersson has also served at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the United Nations in New York and at the embassies in Ankara, Beijing, and New Delhi
