In 2026-2027, the Embassies of Sweden in Ethiopia and Ethiopia in Sweden will celebrate 80 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Ethiopia — a milestone reflecting a long-standing partnership rooted in friendship and people-to-people ties, trade and development cooperation, and shared values.
To commemorate this occasion, the Embassy invites creative individuals, artists, and designers from both Ethiopia and Sweden to participate in a Logo Design Competition that captures the spirit of “80 Years of Friendship – Forward Together.” The logo will be used throughout the anniversary year on official promotion and communication materials, digital platforms, publications, and events.
The logo should reflect 80 years of Sweden–Ethiopia relations, with a focus on the future. The logo must include the number “80” and the phrase “Sweden–Ethiopia” (or “Sweden and Ethiopia”). Ideally, we would like to see both color and black-and-white versions, in a scalable vector format suitable for both print and digital use.
Submissions must be made by December 5, 2025, 11:59 PM (EAT) via email to ambassaden.addis-abeba.rsvp@gov.se with the subject line: “Logo Design Competition – Sweden–Ethiopia 80 Years”. The submission should include the following:
