From 15 October 2026, the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka will no longer make decisions on applications for Schengen visas (short-stay visas).
Instead, all decisions on Schengen visa applications submitted in Bangladesh will be made by the Swedish Migration Agency. This change only affects the authority responsible for the decision-making process. The application procedure remains the same.
Applicants should continue to book an appointment with VFS Global, submit their application and biometric data, and provide all required supporting documents as usual. Appointments can be booked through VFS Global: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/bgd/en/swe.
