Annika Ben David is Sweden’s Ambassador to Austria and Slovakia and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna (UN).
Ambassador Ben David joined Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1995, following earlier service with the UNHCR in Geneva and Stockholm. She holds dual Master’s degrees in International Relations and Political Science from L’Institut de Hautes Études Internationales (Geneva Graduate Institute) and Uppsala University. Her diplomatic career includes appointments as Sweden’s Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and as Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law.
