Apply for a Visa

In order to visit Sweden, citizens of Uganda and other countries need an entry visa. An entry visa is a permit required by persons wishing to enter Sweden for a temporary visit, for example:

• as a tourist
• on business 
• to take part in a conference or 
• to visit relatives and friends

Kindly note that all required documents must be submitted in English or French.

Please note that the waiting times for an appointment increase during high seasons such as the summer months and Christmas. Therefore, make sure you plan and book your visa appointment at least 4 months prior to your planned departure date.

The Embassy of Sweden in Kampala is not invovled in the visa application process.
