The application fee is linked to the Euro and may be adjusted if there are significant changes in the exchange rate.
The fee is paid in different local currencies depending on the country in which you apply. If you have any questions regarding the fee or the applicable exchange rate in your country, you may contact the Migration Section. The fee amount in the local currency is also available on the VFS Global's website for the respective country and is regularly updated by the Embassy whenever there are significant changes in the exchange rate. The application fee will not be refunded if your application is refused!
VFS Global
VFS Global charges a service fee for each application, in addition to the visa fee mentioned above.
Please note that there is no exemption or reimbursement of VFS service fee.
The following categories are exempt from paying the visa fee:
Please note that relatives and family members of Swedish citizens are not included in this exemption and must pay the visa fee.
Citizens of countries that have concluded visa facilitation agreements with the EU pay a reduced visa fee of EUR 35. This applies to citizens of the following countries:
Citizens of Cap Verde are paying a visa fee of EUR 67,50
Fee for applications for national visa (type D)
Adults and children over 5 years old: EUR 60
Children under 5 years old: No fee
