From 1 June 2026, the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok will be responsible for handling migration matters for applicants from Indonesia and Timor Leste. This applies to Indonesian citizens and citizens of Timor Leste as well as individuals who are legally residing in Indonesia and Timor Leste.

You can attend your migration interview at the Embassy in Jakarta. The interview will be conducted via a video connection with the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. To schedule an interview appointment, you must first have received an email from the Swedish Migration Agency instructing you to contact the Embassy to schedule an interview appointment. Appointment is booked by contacting the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.
If the Swedish Migration Agency requests you to present your passport at a Swedish Embassy, this can be done at the Embassy in Jakarta by appointment only. Appointment is booked by contacting the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.
You may collect a copy of your decision at the Embassy in Jakarta by appointment only. Appointment is booked by contacting the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.
You may have your fingerprints taken and your photograph captured at the Embassy in Jakarta by appointment only. Appointment is booked by contacting the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.
