Sports, cultural and other types of visits – extra documents

If you apply for a visa to visit Sweden for a sporting or cultural purpose, you need to submit the documents listed below.

You must have:

The documents required by all visa applicants. Read more under ‘Required documents’
If the purpose is a cultural activity - A written request from the host organisation in the Schengen Member State on participation in such activities. In case not included in the written request, a separate statement on sponsorship either from the sending or receiving party (or other proof of financial means)

If the purpose is a sporting activity - A written request from the host organisation (competent authority, national sport federation or national Olympic committee), including information on the role of the persons. In case not included in the written request, a separate statement on sponsorship either from the sending or receiving party (or other proof of financial means)
Proof of accommodation
A copy of tickets booking
If you are travelling by car you should submit a detailed route plan, copy of a driving license, vehicle registration documents.
All reservations shall be valid at the time on the decision
