How to Apply for a Visa
You can submit your application at one of VFS Global’s offices in the region or your country of citizenship, find more information here.
Applications can be submitted no earlier than six months before your planned trip. We recommend applying well in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Decisions are usually made within two weeks, but in some cases, the process may take up to 45 days.
Your application and passport will be forwarded to the responsible Swedish embassy, which will make the decision. Once a decision has been made, your passport and the decision letter will be returned to VFS Global, where you can collect them.
Please note that the Embassy of Sweden in Tel Aviv do not handle visa applications nor answer questions about Schengen visas. For visa-related inquiries, please contact VFS Global’s call center or the Embassy of Sweden in Amman.
Visiting Sweden for more than 90 days
If you are a citizen of Israel, or any other non-EU country, and wish to stay in Sweden for more than 90 days or extend an ongoing visit, you must apply for a visitor’s residence permit. Read more on the Swedish Migration Agency website.
