Passport in Egypt

You can apply for/renew a passport or ID card at the Embassy of Sweden in Cairo, in another Swedish Embassy or at the Police in Sweden. If you apply for a passport in another country you can still collect it from the Embassy in Cairo. 

To apply for a passport/ID card at the Embassy of Sweden you have to book a time online. The Embassy only accept appointments that are booked online. 

To apply for a passport/pick up a passport/apply for a coordination number “samordningsnummer”, you must book an appointment online.

When booking the appointment, please select a reason for your visit:

1. If you wish to apply for a new passport you must select the option ”apply for Swedish passport/ID document”.
2. If you wish to pick up a passport that has been sent to the embassy, you must select the option ”retrieve Swedish passport/ID document”.
3. If your child needs a ”samordningsnummer”/coordination number, you must select the option ”apply for Swedish passport/ID document”.
