Do I need to register to the electoral roll?

If it has been more than ten years since you emigrated from Sweden, you must register yourself on the electoral roll. You can do this by completing and submitting a form to the Swedish Tax Agency. If you have changed your address abroad, you must also notify the Swedish Tax Agency of this by completing the same form.

You can always vote even if you have been removed from the electoral register; your vote will then count as a re-registration for a new ten-year period.
