Can I travel to the UK on a Swedish provisional passport?

It is, however, the Embassy's understanding that the British border police at present accept Swedish provisional passports for people who do not require an ETA to enter the UK.

If you require an ETA to enter the UK, you can travel to the UK with a Swedish provisional passport issued by the Swedish Police. These passports contain biometric information needed for when travelling with an ETA.

Provisional passports issued by Swedish embassies do not contain biometric information, and therefore you cannot use an embassy- issued provisional passport to travel to the UK should you require an ETA to enter the UK.

However, embassy- issued provisional passports can be used to travel from the UK to Sweden.
