Emergency passport

If you have lost your regular passport you may apply for an emergency passport. This passport is printed in A4-format and is valid for a single trip to Sweden close in time. Upon request, you should be able to show your booked plane ticket. If you are flying via another country you must make sure that the country you're entering or travelling via accepts a Swedish Emergency passport in A4-format. You can obtain this information by contacting the country's Embassy, their border police or check with your travel agency.

The following is required for an application of an Emergency passport:

  • Visiting the Embassy in person
  • Police report if the passport is stolen
  • A valid ID
  • For applicants under the age 18 a form of consent from all legal guardians 

  • Fees are paid via card payment in local currency to the Embassy at the time of the visit.
