You will receive an automatic email when your passport/national ID card has arrived at the embassy. If you have informed us at the time of application that you wish to collect your passport/national ID card at a honorary consulate, you may disregard this notice. The embassy automatically forwards the passport/national ID card to the relevant consulate
When your passport or ID card is ready for collection, you will be contacted by the embassy or consulate usually by email. Neither the embassy nor the consulate can indicate a delivery time for when the passport is available for collection.

You must book an appointment (email embassy.canberra-pass@gov.se) to pick up your passport & national ID card. Important to bring when picking up at either consulates and embassies:
No matter where you apply for the passport, you can pick it up at the embassy in Canberra. If you apply for a passport in Sweden or at another embassy but wish to collect your passport in Canberra, inform the passport authority when applying. Alternatively, you can contact the passport authority afterwards to reroute the passport, which may mean a delay. There is a delivery fee payable at pick-up.
Once a new passport has been obtained, any visas/residence permits linked to a previous passport must be transferred to the new one.
