North Macedonia has closed border crossings to foreign nationals as well as the main airport Skopje International Airport for passenger travel. From 22 march a curfew is in effect between 21:00-05:00, on weekends from 16:00-05:00. The curfew for persons older than 67 is set from 11:00-05:00, and persons up to 18 years of age from 21:00-12:00 (weekends from 16:00-12:00). Emergency visits to hospitals and pharmacies are exempt upon presentation of a proof.
The Swedish government decided from 19 March (for a period of 30 days ) to temporarily stop unnecessary travel from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland to Sweden. This entry ban applies to those who do not have Swedish citizenship / residence permit. In light of the extensive spread of the COVID-19 virus and the rapidly changing and uncertain situation for travellers, since 14 March 2020, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against non-essential travel to all countries for one month. Since 14 March 2020, North Macedonia has banned entry for foreign citizens from medium and high risk countries, including Sweden.
