Promoting Sweden

The task of the Consulate General of Sweden in New York is to increase awareness of and interest in Sweden in the northeastern United States, as well as to offer a qualified network and a platform for building long-term relationships. We collaborate with Swedish companies, entrepreneurs, cultural practitioners and institutions to showcase the open, innovative, creative and sustainable Sweden of today.

When it comes to culture and social issues, we contribute to an increased exchange between Sweden and the United States. We also aim to increase awareness of Sweden as a country of innovation and knowledge, focusing particularly on the innovative sectors and on facilitating collaboration between Swedish and American universities.
